Sky High at Skykomish Swimming Holes

There’s no better way to beat the summer heat than to spend the day relaxing by the water and toking up. We recently felt lucky enough to have Anjelika (@abilitytogive) show us one of her favorite swimming holes, a serene riverside space in Skykomish.

The Skykomish drains from the Cascade mountains into Snohomish County with beautiful forest and tributaries stretched throughout. Many people take to kayaking, rafting, swimming, and fishing in the Skykomish river each year. We spent the day kicking back on the rocks and enjoying the soothing sights and sounds of our secret swimming hole.

To take the magic a little further, we sparked up some of our favorite strains.

Tesla Tower

A delicious mix between White Fire OG and Snowcap, Tesla Tower was an obvious choice to gear up for an adventure. We were feeling energetic and uplifted after sparking this up.

Powder Hound

Crossed with the beloved Jack Herer, Powder Hound was another perfect pick for our outdoor escapades. We were happy, focused, and ready to soak up the sun with this strain.

Strawberry Diesel

This strain is a delicious mix of Strawberry Cough and NYC Diesel with a sweet, fruity taste and uplifting effects. After smoking this strain, we were feeling deeply relaxed, content, and connected with the beautiful nature that surrounded us.

Anjelika then took us to a secret waterfall, a tranquil force of nature which left us all feeling humbled. The sun shone down on us, the water rippled peacefully, and we felt blissful.

Spark Your Own Adventure

Itching to get adventurous before summer ends? The Skykomish River is just a few hours from the Methow Valley, home to Lazy Bee Gardens.

To get to your own Skykomish swimming hole, head north on Highway 2. Eagle Falls is another popular location known for its vibrant water and cool pools. Plus it’s easy to park and access for summer adventures.

Be sure to check out the surrounding areas, as the Skykomish River area is breathtaking all around.
